The continuous improvement of the processes, aiming at the customers’ satisfaction, respect to employees and to the natural resources of the Minaçu region, are the focus of SAMA.
According to such policy, the company has been constantly investing in the modernization of its industrial plant.

With automated and stable processes, it is reaching outstanding productivity indexes, offering quality to the market and safety to its employees, taking men out of repetitive or risky activities.
The permanent technological improvement allowed SAMA to obtain the certifications of quality (ISO 9001/2000) and environment (ISO 14001). The state-of-the-art equipment used by the company, from mining to commercialization of chrysotile asbestos, also allows full flexibility to meet the customers’ requirements, such as standardization of pallets and packages, treatment and specifications of the fiber, among others.

Information Technology
Up to 1998, SAMA had non-integrated information systems, which operated in different computer platforms supported by an obsolete and slow data communication infrastructure.
In 1999, a corporate management system (Enterprise Resource Planning, of SAP™) was implemented, which integrates the processes of sales, production, maintenance, supplies and finance areas.
Such initiative resulted in a wide review of the processes, in the updating of the computer equipment as well as of the data communication infrastructure, that allows prompt access to the information.
