:: SAMA IS AMONG THE BEST COMPANIES TO WORK IN BRAZIL

One more achievement, now in the area of Human Resources, consolidates the outstanding position of SAMA among the main companies in Brazil. The company has just been chosen by the Exame magazine and the Great Place to Work Institute as one of the "100 Best Companies for You to Work" in the country.

The result is in issue n.º 801 of the magazine. The position obtained by SAMA is due mainly to the balance between personal life and work, pointing out requirements as companionship and the feeling of pride among the collaborators. The magazine still emphasizes the granted benefits and the investments in professional development, the remuneration within the market average, the attention given to the environment and occupational health areas, among other aspects.

The fact of being among the "100 Best Companies for You to Work" shows the value that the policies implemented by SAMA have among the collaborators. "The results demonstrate, at the same time, that we are in the right track and where we can improve in benefit of all", says Rubens Rela, general director of the company.

:: OPENING OF THE ASBESTOS ROOM



Sama is pleased to communicate to our clients the opening of The Asbestos Room on July the 16th, 2002, in the state of Goiás, Brazil.

The Asbestos Room is a initiative of AGIM (Mineral and Industrial Development Agency of Goiás) and SAMA S.A. - Minerações Associadas. It was idealized to be a place of technological and informative reference about the chrysotile asbestos, and its goal is to clarify and serve the segments of society interested in research about the chrysotile asbestos.

The place has meeting and projection rooms, library, permanent exhibition of chrysotile asbestos samples in nature, manufactured products and photographic panels showing the stages of the production and the environmental actions implemented by Sama.

The Asbestos Room also owns a collection of materials, photographs, films and documents for information and research. The Asbestos Institute of Canada provided a complete collection of videotapes, books, documents and research reports for public use. Furthermore, there are studies along with The Asbestos Institute in Canada to implement a Institute of Asbestos in Brazil.
