The quality of the chrysotile asbestos fiber produced by SAMA is continuously assessed and controlled in every process stage, from the primary crushing to the packing and shipping.
The company's laboratory has modern equipment for analysis and quality control of the final product, with tests carried out by skilled and specially trained personnel, according to the Chrysotile Asbestos Test Manual, of the Quebec Asbestos Mining Association (QAMA).

Quebec Standard Test
Dry granulometry analysis. It is widely used internationally as a standard test to control the asbestos quality.

Turner and Newall
Wet granulometry analysis. This is the test most used by SAMA for the classification of its products.

Wet Volume
The wet volume indicates the fiber loosening degree, also referred to as openness degree of the asbestos fibers.

Freeness
It measures the flow time of a certain quantity of water through a sample of fiber. The test's result is given in seconds.

Bauer Mc Nett
